More on Zubu
Something else I forgot to mention is that she loves feathers too and carries them around like they're prey, and growls (a little kitty growl) at anyone who comes near her (like she's so vicious) :) She also waits by the kitchen sink in the morning waiting for someone to come by and put the water on so she can lick it directly from the faucet....she's quite a character!
Thank you again!

Zubu and Her Big Sister
Hi Brenda,
I wasn't sure if this was your email address or not (I lost your business card), but I took a stab in the dark, hoping this is the right one.
Anyway, I just thought I'd send you a little update on Zubu (renamed "Inky" because she's so black and it sounded like such a cute name for a cute kitty). She is the sweetest little thing and such a wild little kitty at the same time (SUPER playful!). She has taken to us and her new forever home really, really well (including her big "sister", Maleah, who's 8 mos older than her). They LOVE playing peekaboo behind boxes and chasing each other around the house - it's a crack up! We just got a laser light toy for her for Christmas and she goes nuts over it, chirping like crazy! She's also especially attached to our 15 yo old daughter, always hanging around her and cuddling on her lap.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know how grateful I am of the wonderful care you gave her at Simply Cats and for allowing us the opportunity to adopt her. She's been such a fun addition to our family!
Sincerely,
Danielle DeNoble
P.S. Hope you enjoy the pics!
Fuego Love The Vanny Voice!
"This is our fuego. He loves helping me read the Simply Cats news paper when it comes in the mail!"
Christmas Note from Clyde
I wanted to let you know how I am doing in my new home and also to thank you for providing me with a safe “way station” on the journey to my forever home. At first I felt a bit shy, but now I am very comfortable and happy. There are so many kitty beds to snuggle into and at nights I cuddle up with my new mom who tells me every day, multiple times, how much she loves me. She picks me up and snuggles me on her shoulder, and it makes me so happy I just purr and purr.
My brother Tucker and I zoom back and forth through the house, and we play a game called “stick-and-string,” which I love.
I get to go out into the back yard where we play in the grass and watch birds and squirrels. Even when we can’t go outside we can sit in our “cat shack” and enjoy the fresh air outside, while safely contained. There are so many new things to do!
My sisters Indie and Aurora are ok, but Aurora wants to clean my ears all the time and I think Indie is a but funny. My life is very good here, and I know it always will be, so don’t worry. Tell all my friends at Simply Cats “hello” for me, especially Chance, Stash, Ibanez, Lyon, and Ebony. I hope they are all doing well, and I know they will find their forever homes soon, too.
Much loves and thanks,
Cyde Mojo Ryder Moore
Cashew, otherwise known as Frankie
We are so enjoying Cashew. Of course, we renamed him. He loves Abi, our five year old black lab and Lexy our puppy Labradoodle. He is great with little humans as well. He's a talker and a lover and the only thing we are working on is the scratching post... Otherwise he's got it down. We named him Frankie, since he was found at Franklin Building Supply and Franklin is way to formal for us.
Thanks for your help,
Sherie
Couldn't Have Asked for a Better Cat
I got my cat from Simply Cats back when it was still called Just Strays. Her name was Ashley and she was found under someone's porch. I renamed her Bella and took her home.
I have been told before that the animal chooses their owner, which in the case of Bella couldn't be more true. I looked at every cat in the shelter and came across Bella. I pet her a minute and she wanted nothing to do with me. I then moved on but she followed me all around the room. I decided I wanted her spur of the moment which scared me because I would have this cat forever and I wanted to make the right decision.
I came to pick her up a week later and a member of the staff informed me that a few people had come in and wanted her, but she was mine. She hid from me for almost a week when I took her home, but then she wouldn't leave my side. She sleeps with me under the covers and welcomes me when I come home. She responds when I talk to her, and is just so affectionate.
Clyde's New Home
Clyde is doing very good in his new home!
I know Clyde came to you as a feral, and it shows in subtle ways, in that he has to get used to living with a person. I told him his most important job is to snuggle with me at night, but since he has never slept on a bed with a person, he is still getting used to the idea. He comes up for a little while at night, and then this morning he actually came and gave me major snuggles in bed. He gets all “floppy,” rolling around on his back with his head hanging over the side of the bed, and I rub his belly and his head. He loves it. I can pick him up and carry him around the house – he is a very affectionate kitty, but he is also so polite.
Skye finds True Love
Skye is one of the best decisions I have made in a while! Thank you simply cats! I couldn't have asked for a better companion. Skye is the sweetest boy I know and gives me kisses every morning. I always give him my sweetest words and scratches before I leave and when I get home ALWAYS... to let him know he feels loved and I am so happy for him to be there. My love for him is neverending and I know he feels the same for me. You can tell he is happy to be where he is... in a tender, caring, loving home!
He has well adjusted too. His favorite spots are at the end of my bed and laying on my chest when I watch tv, his very own fluffy pillow, and sitting on my keyboard when I play... I love him!! He is my pride and joy and he will be by my side til the end of days.

By the way, we absolutely ADORE Bonzai (Rusty). He is such a character and has brought so much love and warmth to our home. We're looking forward to trying to keep him out of the Christmas tree this year.
And a woman who works with my husband adopted Huey and Dewey, she loves them too.
